Terms and Conditions of Service
These Terms and Conditions of service for Horizon Cat Cruises are designed to promote a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests. By making a booking, guests acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Booking and Payment
1.1. A deposit of $500 is required to secure a booking. The remaining balance must be paid 14 days before the scheduled departure.
1.2. Bookings made within 14 days of the departure date must be paid in full at the time of booking.
1.3. Payment can be made via credit card, bank transfer, etc..
1.4. Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of the booking without a refund.
2. Cancellation and Refund Policy
2.1. Guest Cancellations:
- Cancellations made 14 days or more before departure: 50% refund.
- Cancellations made 14 days or less before departure: No refund.
2.2. Operator Cancellations:
- If Horizon Cat Cruises cancels due to unsafe weather, mechanical failure, or unforeseen circumstances, guests will be offered a reschedule or full refund.
3. Alcohol Consumption
3.1. Moderation:
Guests are permitted to consume alcohol responsibly on board. Excessive drinking sessions are not tolerated to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests.
3.2. Permitted Beverages:
Only wine, beer, and manufactured pre-mix drinks are allowed on board. Hard spirits or homemade alcohol are strictly prohibited.
3.3. Underway Restrictions:
Moderate alcohol consumption is allowed while the vessel is underway and may be consumed when the yacht is anchored or docked.
3.4. Skipper's Authority:
The skipper reserves the right to terminate the charter and return to port if a passenger becomes unruly, disruptive, or abusive due to alcohol consumption. No refund will be issued in these circumstances.
4. Use of Paddleboards and Floating Devices
4.1. Safety Equipment:
It is recommended that Guests wear life jackets or personal flotation devices (PFDs) when using paddleboards or any floating devices.
4.2. Supervision:
Use of paddleboards and floating devices is permitted only when the yacht is anchored or in a designated safe area. Guests must inform the crew before engaging in such activities.
4.3. Weather Conditions:
These activities are only allowed in suitable weather and tidal conditions, as determined by the skipper or crew.
4.4. Liability:
Guests engaging in water activities do so at their own risk. Horizon Cat Cruises is not liable for any injuries or accidents resulting from the use of paddleboards or floating devices.
5. Guest Conduct
5.1. Guests must act in a well-behaved manner and must not disturb any third parties during the charter period.
5.2. No illegal drugs are to be brought on board. Any prescription or allergy medication must be stored in the ship's medical cabinet while aboard.
5.3. Smoking or vaping is not permitted onboard the yacht, tenders, kayaks, paddleboards, or around any other equipment.
6. Liability and Insurance
6.1. Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. Horizon Cat Cruises is not liable for any loss or damage to personal items.
6.2. Guests are advised to have personal travel and health insurance.
7. Acceptance of Terms
7.1. By making a booking, guests acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
